Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grym TV! Har haft denna TV i ca två veckor nu och är väldigt nöjd. Snygg design och grym bild.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nearly the perfect package! After a few weeks use the TV is nearly the complete package and has all the features, performance and accessories to make it stand out among the pack. Having previously owned and used OLED and LED tv-sets from Samsung, LG and Sony, upgrading to the ZH8 has left me with the impression that it's the most complete package of all of the TVs in the higher price range offerings. While it's not esthetically as pleasing as a Samsung Frame or the LG equivalents, it does excel in other areas. It also begs the question whether or not a 75" TV will ever become a piece of furniture in your home, no matter how well designed it is. Another thing to note is the ZH8 weight. Weighing in at around 60 kilos it is by far a much heavier TV compared to the 4K offerings. This might be a thing to consider before purchasing and when planning the setup. However, Sony has introduced a function where the TV speakers can be ran as a center speaker in a surround setup. This feature alone will for many make a surround setup easier to achieve and more practically viable solution. Having owned previous Android TVs, specifically Sony models. The last iteration of Android TV and the processing power of the ZH8 is a solid combination with a zero trade-off user experience. The UI feels snappy and apps don't take long to open. Earlier versions of Android TV, and even the later Nvidia Shield offerings haven't always proven to be smooth and silky when operating. The ZH8 can be connected to a surround receiver and the TV can act as a center speaker in a surround or even 3.1 setup. For most home surround setups this is a great feature and the audio quality of the TV speakers would exceed the quality of most budget to mid-range center speaker offerings. I wouldn't recommend pairing the TV speakers with small satellite speakers as L/R speaker in a 3.1 or 5.1 setup, as the TV speakers will sound fuller, richer and more dynamic as than smaller speakers. A more suitable pairing would be small floor standers/towers or bigger sized bookshelf speakers. It is however possible to get a good result with satellite speakers and a sub-woofer provided your surround receiver has a good EQ and room correction. You will still not get the perfect result, and you will have to prepare yourself for a lot of tweaking. For those who are wanting a more simpler setup, a decent surround receiver coupled with a decent pair of speakers will get an audio upgrade that can't be matched by any soundbar currently on the market. Filmmakers suggest viewers should turn off motion enhancers like Samsungs "Motion Plus" or Sony's "Motionflow" because they create the "Soap Opera Effect". This effect is very simply put created by the TV trying to match source signal to what you see to create a smooth picture. The Motionflow on the ZH8 no longer has such a dramatic soap opera effect, but I still recommend turning it off and select "True Cinema". Viewers who entirely turn off any motion enhancers will be left with a somewhat blurry picture, especially after spending a lot of money on a new TV, it can feel like a let down as the less sharp picture can look a bit cheap. Sony however has something called "True Cinema", which is a very low grade of motion enhancement and on the ZH8 you get the best of both worlds. Sharp and clear picture without any "Soap Opera Effect". Especially when compared to older Sony TVs, it is clear how far along this technology has come. The 8K part of the TV isn't quite yet relevant because of the lack of source material. However, this shouldn't be an obstacle when considering a purchase. The ZH8 excels in 4K and when compared directly to the LG CX/GX series the picture quality in 4K is outstanding on both TVs provided you are in a dimly lit room. However, if you are placing the TV in a room with normal lighting conditions the Sony ZH8 literally outshines the LG CX/GX series and makes it a much more practical TV for everyday use. Sony are currently rolling out updates to fully support 120hz and I have not decided to review these functions as they haven't been tested yet. If you intend to purchase a TV with a focus on gaming, the LG CX series can't be matched on both price and performance. While future updates might bring the ZH8 up to par with the CX, it doesn't seem feasible to purchase an 8K at this price point for mostly gaming as there is a better or equal alternative at a much lower price point with proven functioning G-Sync. Competition While many professional reviewers highly rate Samsung TVs I am not one of them. In my opinion the whites are too bright, and colors too uneven, despite calibration and tuning. The Samsung User Interface is no longer superior to LGs UI, or Sony's Android version. Summary I have chosen not to focus too much on gaming experience as I feel there already are better options for purely or mostly gaming. Where the ZH8 really shines is in its features, picture quality, user experience and the unique function of being able to use the TV speakers as a center speaker. The latter opens a lot of option on how you decide to set up your TV room or even how you place your TV in a living room in conjunction with a surround sound system. To me, the most obvious pro is that you eliminate the need of a soundbar but you gain the ability of getting a stereo and surround capable audio system even if you decide to place the heavy TV on the wall. The ZH8 has picture quality equal to an OLED TV, but a brightness level that can't be matched by current OLED TVs. Combined with Sony's "True Cinema" function, the flexibility of the center speaker, and the now complete Android TV, I believe this makes the ZH8 most complete package on the market, and also a nearly perfect package. Pros: - Picture quality - True Cinema (Industry leading) - Audio quality - Center Speaker function - Perfect Android TV - PS5 ready - "Allround" ability Cons: - Heavy - Not G-Sync/VRR ready yet - OLED deliver same picture quality at lower price
