With the Raspberry Pi Sense HAT add-on board, you can expand the functionality of your Raspberry Pi micro PC in many ways. The Sense HAT board was originally created for the Astro Pi mission that launched to the International Space Station in 2015. Thanks to the Sense Hat Python library, you can download or create custom code to make the best out of the abilities of the add-on board. From monitoring atmospheric conditions to broadcasting light patterns or creating a motion sensing device, the board is a great addition to your Raspberry Pi. The board connects to your Raspberry Pi through the 40-pin GPIO (general purpose input/output) connector.
